This thesis describes a method which constructs Korean case frames to generate Korean case postposition in interlingual machine translation. Korean sentences are generated from conceptual networks which are internal meaning representations. A conceptual network represents conceptual dependency relations between two conceptual symbols.
In the thesis, a new method for establishing case frames in the interlingual MT is described. This method is based on semantic and syntactic properties of a main predicate(verb or adjective) in a sentence and use about 1000 Korean predicates. They are selected among general predicates and special predicates that used in scientific and technical books. This thesis constructs Korean case frames on selected Korean predicates using the new method.
Korean case frames are experimented on the generation of Korean case postposition in the interlingual MT.
