As advances in the machine translation, researches of the Japanese-to-Korean direct machine translation have been made a progress. They have been the focus of the case-postposition generation using the case-meaning of a case-postposition. For that reason, they could solve the homograph problem of case-postpositions at practical level, but not declinable words.
In the thesis, an method for solving the homograph problem of declinable words is suggested and an experimental Japanese-to-Korean direct machine translation is designed and implemented using the method at pc-level for general users to use easily the machine translation system. According to this method, an appropriate homograph is selected among homographs of a declinable word using the semantic information of declinable words and substantives. The application of the method produces a good translation result.
