Mode-locked Nd:glass laser was constructed using acousto-optic modulator driven by RF power. The cavity length was 1m and the RF frequency was 70MHz. The mode-locked pulse train was observed to have 7.1ns pulse spacing, which coincided with the cavity round trip time and the RF frequency.
Autocorrelator using collinear type I phase matching in KDP crystal was constructed. The mode-locked pulse width was measured by the autocorrelator to be 1.4ps. Also, burst mode-locked pulses were observed to have 88ps envelope pulse width and 0.4ps coherence time. All pulse shapes were assumed to be Gaussian.
