The concern of this paper is to explain the characteristics of accidents occuring in the man/robot cooperation area and to consider ergonomics points of view about accidents result from industrial robots.
The main causes of accidents in industrial man/robot work area are electric malfunctions and human errors. Most people have tendency to think that robot is relative safe and this thought is apt to lead to accidents. Therefore, it is needed that regular program for safe.
Accidents occur frequently when human operators teach and maintain robots. The devices for safety in man/robot work space are reviewed. In addition, check-list for safety in man/robot work space is suggested.
