A simulator for a controlled boiler plant is designed, in order to test the performance of a back-up controller. For this, the original analog controller and the boiler plant are transformed into a digital-form model, in which the plant is modelled as a 2 input-2 output boiler system connected to first order peripheral units.
A formula is derived when performance of closed loop system is given. Also, as a method of handling unknown parameters of peripheral units, in the simulator, it is investigated what class of systems satisfies a set of given performance specification for closed-loop system.
Finally, the simulation result shows that the simulated boiler plant renders the same steady state characteristics and same as data provided by a real boiler signal.
