Conery's AND/OR process model creates processes dynamically which may exchange messages each other. Therefore, it is difficult to apply the traditional allocation schemes such as the static process allocation schemes.
In this thesis, a dynamic process allocation scheme for implementing Conery's AND/OR process model on the mesh network multiprocessor system is proposed. The proposed scheme called Local Optimization of Processing Time(LOPT) tries to decrease the total execution time by means of optimizing processing time locally.
The results of the simulation on the performance of LOPT are described. Also discussed are the factors affecting the performance of LOPT to understand the behavior of LOPT.
