A computer program for the analysis and design sensitivity of plate structures has been developed. Detailed constraints on stress, nodal displacement, natural frequency and design variable are considered. The plate elements used are four node element found in texts.
A detailed description of the sensitivity analysis is presented. Numerical examples are selected for comparative purpose with existing solutions and the results found safisfactory. An elaborate investigation on the efficiency and flexibility of the program and future improvement are necessary for practical uses.
