This thesis develops a general methodology for evaluating inspection (mainly, safety inspection) policies, standards and regulations in a complex system with lots of components. Based on the history of the system and prior experimental data, this methodology enables planners or regulators to estimate the costs and effectiveness of different inspection policies. And also, this methodology can be used to aid in determining inspection schedules for the detection of age-dependent defects.
Especially we concentrate on analyzing an inspection program with two inspection devices for a single kind of defect in a complex system.
As main tools, the concepts of detection probability and earliness of detection are developed in this thesis.
본 논문은 한가지 종류의 결함에 대해 감지능력이 서로 다른 두가지 검사장비가 사용되는 검사정책에서의 검사주기 선정에 관한 연구이다.
본 연구에서는 특별히 결함의 발전정도에 따라 검사장비의 결함검출능력이 달라지는 경우를 고려하여 검사정책 수행에 따른 총비용을 산정하는 방법이 전개되었고 이것은 몇가지 다른 검사정책들의 평가, 비교에 이용될 수 있을 것이다.
