A new diagnostic method for detection and location of faults of linear time-invariant dynamic systems is presented.
The fault detection algorithm is established in signal space, while the fault location algorithm with estimation is proposed in parameter space.
The proposed diagnostic method is shown to be effective as an algorithm for fault diagnosis by testing several models with unknown parameters and fault via simulation in digital computer.
