Remote procedure call is a mechanism widely used to provide access to remote services in distributed systems. This thesis proposes a remote procedure call for replicated files in distributed systems and measures the performance of the remote procedure call by a simulation method. For the access of replicated files the remote procedure call accepts one-to-many call and quorum based protocol. The simulation model for the performance used mean time between failure, the replication degree of files and timeout of client in the remote procedure call.
