Paraphrase evaluation is used to determine whether two input sentences share a same meaning. The automatic analysis for paraphrase evaluation technology has a potential use in the area of information re-trieval technology since correctly paraphrased sentences can be used as alternative input sentence in the re-trieval process. In this paper, we suggest an evaluation method that is suitable for the Korean language by using morphological analysis. Prior methods consist of evaluation for word units. This has the potential dan-ger to give a wrong assessment on various agglutinative languages due to postpositions and endings. To im-prove this problem, practical morpheme is only extracted for the paraphrase evaluation. Synonymous dic-tionary and word embedding applied to Korean are also used to evaluate semantic relations. Furthermore, we integrated the usefulness of evaluation methods into education sector. Using the pair of paraphrase sentences created by ourselves as the gold standard, experiments were conducted to compare the proposed evaluation method with prior method. And the proposed education program using paraphrase technique was also tested. The experimental results show that the combination between prior evaluation method and the proposed evaluation method can improve the prior techniques. And the results show that, the proposed education pro-gram using paraphrase technique have a good impression to the learner.
패러프레이즈 평가란 두 개의 문장이 같은 의미를 공유하고 있는지 아닌지를 평가하는 것이다. 특히 패러프레이즈 자동 평가 방법은 정보 검색 기술 분야에서 잠재적으로 사용될 수 있는 가능성으로 조명받고 있다. 그러나 기존의 평가 방법은 한국어의 다양한 조사 및 어미의 활용에 적합하지 않다. 본 논문에서는 한국어 특성에 맞추어 실질형태소 단위 평가방법을 제안한다. 그리고 자동평가방법을 사용하여 누구나 활용가능한 패러프레이즈 교육 모듈을 제안한다. 성능을 검증하기 위하여 사람 평가자들의 수동평가 결과를 확보하여 기준으로 삼고, 자동평가 결과와 수동평가 결과 간의 상관관계 분석을 사용하였다. 실험 결과, 제안하는 실질형태소 단위 자동평가방법은 기존의 평가방법보다 더 나은 성능을 보이는 것을 확인할 수 있었으며 이를 활용한 패러프레이즈 교육 모듈은 학습자들에게 긍정적인 피드백을 받을 수 있었다.
