Dichromated gelatin is well-known holographic recording material for its ideal thick-phase-holographic properties.
In this thesis work, the processing technique to prepare dichromated gelatin films from both Kodak 649F spectroscopic plates and aqueous gelatin solution is studied.
By using the established process, transmission and reflection type holographic gratings are recorded on those films. Diffraction efficiencies of the recorded hologram were about 90%.
Then, with these dichromated gelatin films, holographic optical elements such as zone-plate lens and beam deflector are fabricated.
