In this thesis work, graphics editor software which includes Hangul processing facility has been designed and realized to be used by the information provider in the experimentally developed videotex system environment. The related graphics terminal and I/O interface handling software have been designed and realized as well. The combination of the above software, hardware and the UNIX System V operating system running on VAX-11/750 minicomputer works together to form an interactive information provider system. The information provider uses the Korea Electrotechnology and Telecommunications Research Institute (KETRI) type videotex presentation layer protocol which is compatible with North American Presentation Layer protocol Syntax (NAPLPS) and has Hangul processing facility in addition.
This thesis descries the requirement analysis, development process and the functional comparison with different information provider system in detail. In addition, the future research direction of the graphics editor for information provider is suggested.
