As the network technology advances, the resource sharing problems become the major research issue to support a referential transparency. To facilitate the resource sharing in networks, a distributed operating system component which is called the resource sharing system is designed in this thesis.
The resource sharing system in network environments manages various types of resources including hardwares, softwares, data, and services. The resource management is composed of four categories: resource allocation, resource monotoring, resource sharing, and resource revocation.
We designed several servers of the resource sharing system for the resource sharing on the networks. The resource sharing system permits a user to work with the environment which supports information exchange, load distribution, and concurrent processing.
Network의 기술이 발달되면서, Referential Transparency를 제공하기 위해 자원 공유의 문제가 중요한 연구 분야가 되었다. 이러한 자원공유를 위한 분산 운영체제의 한 부분인 Resource Sharing System을 본 논문에서 설계했다.
Resource Sharing System은 하아드웨어, 소프트웨어, 데이타, 서어비스 등 Network상의 어떤 종류의 지원이든지 직접 또는 간접적으로 경영할 수 있는데 그 기능은 Resource Allocation, Resource Monitoring, Resource Sharing과 Resource Revocation이며 이를 위해 Name Server, Resource Allocation Server, Resource Location Protocol Server, Resource Monitoring Server, Resource Sharing Server, Resource Revocation Server가 설계 되었다.
