A best choice problem with the allowance of the right for an applicant to refuse an offer of employment is considered. A condition for admissibility of a sequence of probabilities of accepting applicants is derived. And the optimal stopping rules which minimizes the expected absolute rank of applicant chosen are derived for the following two cases : the number of applicants is finite, and it is a bounded random variable.
지원자가 고용 제의를 거부할 수 있는 최적 선택 문제를 다룬다. 첫번째, 가장 좋은 지원자를 뽑는 확률을 최대화 하는 문제에서, 고용주가 지원자를 뽑는 확률들의 수열의 최적 조건을 유도한다. 두번째, 선택된 지원자의 절대 순위의 기대치를 최소화 하는 문제에서, 최적의 선택 과정을 다음의 두 가지 경우에 대해서 유도한다 : 지원자의 수가 유한한 상수인 경우와 지원자의 수가 유개인 확률 변수인 경우. 이 문제에서 이미 거부된 지원자를 다시 뽑는 경우는 좀더 연구해볼 수 있는 문제이다.
