For studying remote sensing without using large system an attempt is made to develop micro computer based image processing system for remote sensing (named KAIS-MIPS), which is composed of 16 bit micro computer, display system (RAMTEK), color plot and hard disk.
This thesis deals with development of I/O functions for KAIS-MIPS, which are visualization an image on color monitor, reading an image data on screen to file or print, printing an image data with color plot, disk I/O to reduce access time, etc.
Development of I/O function for KAIS-MIPS makes processing for remote sensing convenient and fast. It is possible to execute all procedures, which can be executed in IBM remote sensing system, in KAIS-MIPS.
In using KAIS-MIPS, land use map on Inchun area in Korea has been made.
