This paper proposes a periodic replacement policy of a warrantied product. Given a warranty period, it is shown how an optimal replacement period which minimizes the total expected cost flow is obtained. And, when it is assumed that the warranty period can be chosen without restriction, the relationships between the warranty period and an optimal replacement period, and between the warranty period and the total expected cost flow are discussed. Example of this model is illustrated for one special case, where the distribution of the time to failure of the product is Weibull distribution.
본 연구에서는 보증이 있는 제품의 주기적 교환정책에 대해서 다루고 있다. 보증이라는 것은 보증기간내에 고장나는 제품에 대해서 생산자가 응급수리(minimal repair) 를 해주는 것을 말한다. 이때 발생하는 비용은 제품의 원가에 포함되며 소비자가 제품을 구입할 때 지불하는 비용이다.
일반적으로 생산자가 제품을 수리하는 비용이 규모의 경제논리에 의해서 소비자가 수리하는 비용보다 적어진다고 할 수 있다. 이러한 것을 가정하고 보증이 있는 제품의 교환 정책 모델을 개발하였다. 첫번째 모델에서는 보증기간이 주어졌을 때 총 기대 비용을 최소화 시키는 최적 교환주기를 구하였고 두번째 모델에서는 보증기간이 변수일 때 보증기간과 최적 교환주기와의 관계, 보증기간과 총 기대비용과의 관계에 관해 조사하였으며 이를 통하여 총 기대비용을 최소화시키는 최적 보증기간을 구하였다.
끝으로, 본 연구에서 다룬 모델들을 Weibull 분포에 대해 예제를 제시하였고 그 결과를 분석하였다.
