An interactive lesson editor system which can assist PLATO lesson authoring is presented. An author can draw graphic displays or write text by issuing on-line commands. Moreover, displayed frame images can be converted into the equivalent program codes. Displayable graphic images are dots, lines, boxes, circles, arrowed lines and consecutive graphic primitives. Text can be placed onto the desired screen position and can be edited by the text editing subcommands. Additional full-screen buffer storages are used for text editing.
The system has been programmed in Tutor and installed on Cyber-170/835 PLATO system.
현재, PLATO 렛슨은 렛슨 저작자가 Pencil/Paper방식에 의하여 저작하게 되어 그 생산성은 매우 낮은 단계에 있다.
본 논문에서는, PLATO 렛슨 저작을 PLATO 터미널 화면에서 대화식으로 할 수 있는 시스템을 개발하였다. 이 시스템을 이용하여 렛슨 저작자는 PLATO 터미널에서 단순한 또는 연속적인 그래픽 디스플레이를 할 수 있고, 렛슨에 사용될 문장을 화면상에 쓰거나 편집할 수 있으며 하나의 디스플레이 Frame 을 작성 후에는 그 내용을 자동으로 Tutor 코드로 바꿀 수 있다.
이 시스템은 한국 과학 기술원 CYBER-170/835 컴퓨터에 설치되었다
