Second harmonics of Nd: YAG laser, using Lithium Iodate single crystal as a nonlinear medium, are generated. Second harmonic powers for CW and mode-locked laser are measured. As for Q-switched and mode-locked, Q-switched laser, the second harmonic powers are measured as a function of Q-switching rate.
The pulse width of mode-locked Nd: YAG laser is measured by the correlation technique using second harmonic generation. It is compared with the measurement performed by the fast Ge photodiode.
