Three-dimensional (3-D) image reconstruction algorithms from plane integral projection data by Lauterbur and later by Shepp are described and the improved version which has better efficiency in computation, is proposed.
Experiment was performed with the KAIS NMR TOMOGRAPH and sets of 3-D NMR tomograms of a human head were obtained. These show the high signal-to-noise ratio images of various orientations.
Further study on the optimization of angular sampling scheme applicable to any kinds of the 3-D projection reconstruction methods was carried out and the results are presented.
핵자기 공명 단층 촬영에 있어서 면적분 투영 정보로부터 3차원 영상을 재구성하는 Shepp 과 Lauterbur의 알고리즘을 고찰하여 가장 효율적인 알고리즘을 개발하고 그것이 구조적으로 가장 빠르게 3차원 영상을 재구성 할 수 있는 방법임을 확인하였다.
또한 화질을 3차원 영상 내에서 고르게 하기 위하여 면적분 투영 입체각이 균일하게 되는 새로운 angular sampling 방법을 고안하고 결과는 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션으로 보였다. 이 방법은 모든 면적분 투영 정보를 이용한 3차원 영상재구성 방법에 적용할 수 있다는 것에 장점이 있다.
한편 실험에 있어서는 핵자기 공명 신호로부터 인체 두부의 3차원 영상을 얻는데 성공하여 신호 대 잡음비가 우수한 단층 사진들을 실험 결과로 제시하였다.
