There are many systems for automatic indexing of English text. But in Hangul, Automatic Indexing System is practically not available because of late development of Hangul word processor.
Recently a few of Hangul word processing systems are developed and they are used practically for applications such as making books. Thus need for Hangul Automatic Indexing System is arised.
In this thesis an automatic indexing system which can handle Korea text mixed with Chinese and English is proposed and implemented on NEC/S100.
The input for the system is above-mentioned text and output is index which consists of keywords and their page numbers in text. The keywords are selected by morphological analysis method that makes use of interrelations between words and characteristics of postposition which is peculiar to Hangul.
This system may be basis of Hangul Automatic Document Retrieval System and research on the Hangul natural language.
