Queueing network models are widely used to analyze the computer systems and estimate the performance measures of reconfigurated systems.
In this thesis, a closed queueing network model with 2 subchains of VAX/VMS computer system at the department of computer science in KAIST is proposed.
For the insufficiency of the monitoring tools, we use the state dependent routing probabilities proposed by Chen to construct the queueing network model. We modify the Chen's algorithm to calculate the performance measures of the proposed model.
Using the validated model, the performance measures of the reconfigurated systems are predicted. If the present system is reconfigurated, the extension of CPU is recommended to resolve CPU bottle neck.
