Functions of MDI & DPL (Manual Data Input & Universal Display) unit for NC controller, which was implemented in 1981, are extended by including EDIT mode and MEMORY mode to increase productivity minimizing overhead in the preparation of input command in the manufacturing process. Software, originally developed in 1981, is refined to shorten program length, extended to take care of functions of EDIT and MEMORY mode and modified to take into account softy problems that can occur accidentally in the operation field.
