For an experimental hybrid data switching network including both circuit-switching and packet-switching, a terminal interface and a line interface card for the time division circuit-switching system are designed and implemented.
The hybrid network consist of three switching nodes, each having a circuitswitching part for local terminals and a packet-switching part for terminals of different nodes.
The network structure and protocols are based on the CCITT Recommendations.
After a general discussion on the switched data communication systems and on the hybrid data switching network, the part of structure and design of the terminal interface and the line interface are presented.
The terminal interface called "Terminal Handler" is designed for X.20 protocol and error control, and the line interface is a part of circuit-switching system.
The experimental result for the implemented interface systems and for the hybrid network are discussed.
근래에 와서 computer의 사용이 확대되고 data terminal 사용자가 늘어남에 따라 private data system은 public data network로 발전되어 가고 있다.
본 논문에서는 CCITT X.20, X.25를 기초로한 circuit-switching방법과 packet-switching 방법을 병용한 세개의 switching node로 구성되는 한개의 Hybrid data switching network의 구성내용이 검토되었으며, 이 교환망을 위한 terminal interface와 circuit switching system의 line interface가 설계 구성되었다.
기존의 단순한 CRT / TTY terminal을 network에 연결하기 위한 terminal interface는 X.20의 protocol을 수행하는 기능외에도 간단한 editing 및 buffer 기능등을 갖도록 설계되었으며 circuit switching part는 multi - address, store-and-forward등의 user service기능이 추가되었다.
구체적 구성내용과 실험결과가 비교 검토되었다.
