In this thesis work, a hybrid system of circuit switching and packet switching functions is studied. For circuit switching function, the system can offer switching service on a wide range of data speeds from 110 b/s to 2.4 Kb/s, with subscriber interface recommended by CCITT. User service facilities include multi-address calling, delayed delivery and speed conversion.
Three packet switching nodes are interconnected to make up a small packet switching network. Network protocols are studied and realized in conformity with CCITT recommendations.
Overall network organization, protocols and system structures are discussed in general. Among these functions, the data link control procedures are investigated in detail and implemented according to the X.25 link level protocols.
In addition, an interlinking circuit is designed for inter-processor signalling between two different switching subsystems in a switching node.
본 논문에서는 circuit switching 기능과 packet switching 기능을 갖는 hybrid 데이타 교환망에 관한 연구 결과가 제시되었다. 세개의 node 가 데이타 교환 망을 이루었을 때, node 1 에서는 local area 의 가입자를 위한 circuit switching 서비스 및 선택적인 가입자 서비스로 multi-address calling과 delayed delivery의 기능이 확인 되었다. 한편 다른 node의 가입자로의 call 은 packet switching 에 의해 이루어지며 어떤 node 의 가입자도 서로 데이타를 송수신 할 수 있다.
효율적인 선로 이용을 위한link control 방법들과 link 제어 과정에 대해 논하였고, 실제 node 간의 link 제어를 위한 subsystem을 연구, 구성하였다.
끝으로 여러 종류의 데이타속도와 error rate들에 대한 link control system의 성능이 평가되었다.
