Edge-diffraction patterns of electromagnetic wave by the conducting half plane, the conducting wedge, and the dielectric wedge are experimentally measured in anechoic chamber, and they are compared with the results of geometrical theory of diffraction (GTD) and the theory of Joo, Ra, Shin.
Excellent agreement between the theory and the experimental result is obtained for the case of conducting scatterers.
Though there was some difficulty in preparing a good material for the dielectric wedge, the experimental result is shown to agree reasonably well with the theory.
