In the combustion model burning rate is pictured as the sum of fuel pyrolysis, oxidizer decomposition, heterogeneous reaction between the fuel and decomposed oxidizer and heat sources for the sustain of steady burning is summarized with surface exothermic reaction and heat conduction from final flame to burning surface.
Calculated result of the combustion model was compared with experimental result for CTPB+AP propellant and PS+AP propellant.
The comparison with experimental data shows that the calculated results agree quite well with experimental data on the effect of pressure and oxidizer particle size on burning rate.
Especially calculated results agree well with experimental data on burning rate VS pressure curve without special correction for the constants of fuel pyrolysis and oxidizer decomposition knowed from experiments.
