The software text editor is becomming a significant overhead for the computing system. Therefore, it tends to be replaced its role by hardware.
In this thesis, it is proposed that the hardware-oriented system which can do text editing and its machine instruction consists of the sort of conventional arithmetic logical and powerful text string instructions which is primitive operation at text editing, i.e. pattern matching character deletion, character insertion, and system manipulation.
It is emphasized that text editing can be done in micro-computer level and total hardware cost is very low. Therefore, more simplfied method is used.
