Tetrachlorocyclopropene has been prepared smoothly by the dehydrochlorination of pentachlorocyclopropane which could be obtained easily from sodium trichloroacetate and trichloroethylene in 1,2-dimethoxyethane. By the reaction of aromatic hydrocarbons with tetrachlorocyclopropene and aluminium chloride, seven new substituted phenyltrichlorocyclopropene derivatives have been prepared. The structures of these products were characterized by means of spectroscopic methods.
Pentachlorocyclopropane 은 1,2-dimethoxyethane 용매하에서 sodium trichloroacetate와 trichloroethylene 을 반응시킴으로써 쉽게 얻을 수 있었다. 이 화합물을 dehydrochlorination하여 tetrachlorocyclopropene 을 얻을 수 있었다. 여러 가지 방향족 화합물들과 tetrachlorocyclopropene 그리고 aluminium chloride 와의 반응으로 새로운 치환된 phenyltrichlorocyclopropene 유도체를 합성하였다. 생성물들의 구조는 분광학적 방법에 의해서 확인하였다.
