The camera is one of the most familiar and common devices used in social life, and it is also a useful tool for various workers, especially researchers. Today, information technology enables many devices to communicate with embedded wireless communication modules such as Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, and other various mobile networks. Just like other devices, cameras have also become progressively easier to connect with, and this feature enables cameras to be used more collaboratively during daily life experiences such as travel, re-search, education, and other various work projects. To increase the usability of collaborative photography, this research presents the camera application, LetsPic, which was created for collaborative photographing and designed with enforced group awareness. This paper includes discussions of: 1) What kinds of infor-mation and functions people want be provided with to increase their collaboration level within collaborative photography situations with the inclusion of a formative study, 2) An introduction of LetsPic as a collabora-tive photography camera application based on group awareness, and 3) Observations and analyses of users’ behaviors regarding this collaborative photography application against users’ behaviors from basic camera application as baseline and with result, evaluating introduced application and finding design implications.
카메라는 사회 생활에서 가장 익숙하고 흔한 기기 중 하나이며 또한 특히 연구자들뿐만 아니라 다양한 작업을 위해 유용한 도구로서 사용된다. 최근의 IT 기술은 다양한 기기들이 Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct와 같은 다양한 무선 통신 모듈이 포함되어 제작되는 것을 가능하게 하였다. 그러한 기기들처럼 카메라 또한 네트워크 연결성이 강화되었고 이러한 점은 카메라를 여행, 연구, 교육, 그외에 여러 프로젝트들을 위해 보다 협력적으로 사용 할 수 있게끔 하였다. 협력 사진 촬영을 위한 카메라 렛츠픽(LetsPic)은 그룹 인지력을 향상시키기 위해 디자인 되었다. 이 논문에서는 1) 형성 연구를 통해 사용자가 협력 사진 촬영을 위해 어떠한 정보나 기능을 필요로하는지에 대한 연구와, 2) 그룹 인지력 향상을 중점을 두고 제작된 협력 사진 촬영 카메라 렛츠픽(LetsPic)의 소개, 3) 협력 사진 촬영 중 일반 카메라 어플리케이션을 사용할 때와 렛츠픽(LetsPic)을 활용하여 사진 촬영을 할 때의 사용자 행동 관찰 및 분석을 포함하고 사용자 행동 및 반응을 통해 디자인 함의를 제공한다.
