The Korean e-book market has started to grow since 2013. With high hopes that the growth will continue domestically and internationally, children e-books are getting more attention than ever. However, academic research on e-book adoption is still in its infancy, and most of existing research is focused on e-books for grown-ups. This calls for need of research for children's e-book and its users. This study is paying attention to the interesting circumstances for children's e-book market, where user (children & adults) and purchaser (adults) are not identical. Using Technology Ac-ceptance Model (TAM; Davis et al., 1989), this study focused on external variables that influence children's e-book adoption for parents.
How perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use are affected by perceived play-fulness and perceived risk was analyzed through survey data collected from parents with young children. As predicted, perceived playfulness and perceived risk did in-fluence perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use. Based on the results, this thesis suggests implications for children e-book service providers.
정체기에 머물렀던 국내 전자책 시장이 2013년부터 양적 팽창이 일어나고 있다. 향후에도 국내외 전자책 시장이 높은 성장율을 보이며 확대될 것으로 전망되는 가운데 유·아동 전자책 카테고리의 성장이 기대되고 있다. 하지만 전자책 수용에 대한 학문적 연구는 이제 확산 단계이며 그나마도 성인 사용자에게 초점이 맞추어 있어 유·아동 대상 전자책 수용에 관한 연구가 시급하다. 구매자와 사용자가 불일치 되는 상황에서 어떤 요인이 구매 의도와 태도를 결정하는 지에 대해 연구가 필요하여 본 연구에서는 기술수용모형(TAM)을 토대로 학부모들의 전자책 수용 모델을 연구하였다. 지각된 놀이성과 지각된 위험이 지각된 유용성과 용이성에 어떻게 영향을 미치는 지 유·아동 자녀를 둔 부모 대상으로 설문을 하여 실증적 분석을 실시하였고, 놀이성과 위험이 유용성과 용이성에 유의미한 영향을 끼침을 확인하였다. 마지막으로 본 연구를 통해 나온 결론을 토대로 유·아동 전자책 서비스 회사들에게 실무적 시사점을 제공하였다.
