Two-dimensional stagnation flow past a cylinder near a plane wall is considered. An explicit expression for stream function is given by use of bipolar coordinates. It is shown that a vortex appears in the neighbourhood of the stagnation point on the wall when the ratio of distance between the center of the cylinder and the wall to the radius of cylinder is less than about 72.368. When the ratio is less than about 16.619, a vortex appears in the neighbourhood of the rear stagnation point on the cylinder. As the distance-to-radius ratio decreases, the number of vortices increases and when the ratio becomes unity, that is, the cylinder contacts the wall, infinitely many vortices exist near the contact point. The force exerted by the flow on the cylinder is also calculated.
근처에 벽이 있는 원통주위를 흐르는 2차원 stagnation흐름을 생각하였다. 쌍극좌표계를 이용하여 유동함수를 구하였다. 원통중심과 벽간의 거리가 원통반경의 약 72.368배 떨어지면 벽위의 stagnation point주위에 박리가 발생하며 그 거리가 가까워짐에 따라 박리의 회수가 증가하며 원통이 벽에 접하는 경우 무한히 많은 박리가 존재한다는 것을 보였다. 원통이 받는 힘도 계산하였다.
