This thesis analyses modes of technology development in the Korea electric & electronics industry.
First, this thesis discusses the general meaning and study of technological innovation and technology transfer, and analyses the present situation of Korean electric & electronics industry.
Second, the following six hypotheses are formulated and tested in order to know the relationship between the degree of indigenous development and royalty cost, R & D cost, marketing cost, and others.
1. The higher the degree of indigenous development, the lower royalty cost per unit and the ratio of royalty cost per sales.
2. The higher the degree of indigenous development, the higher R & D cost per unit and the ratio of R & D cost per sales.
3. The higher the degree of indigenous development, the higher marketing cost per unit and the ratio of marketing cost per sales and the lower market share (M/S) and the higher the ratio of M/S extension.
4. The higher the degree of indigenous development, the higher the ratio of home production of parts and the ratio of indigenous production of parts.
5. The higher the degree of indigenous development, the higher profit after taxes per unit and the retio of sales extension.
6. The higher the degree of indigenous development, the higher the international competitive ability.
This thesis analyses the data collected for each product and total product according to six hypotheses each other.
Due to the limitations of the data acquisition, however, the data are not tested statistically but by qualitative logic in the analysis method for each product and tested statistically in the analysis method for total product.
The result of data analyses are as follows. According to the two analysis methods used, only the first hypothesis is accepted and the other hypotheses are partially accepted or tested owing to the missing data.
Therefore, it is premature to assert whether the technological innovation is more profitable than technology transfer in developing countries, it is clear, however, that technology transfer is very important for technological innovation.
And the variables and the hypotheses tested in this thesis can be applied not only to the electric & electronics industry but also to the other industries.
본 연구는 우리나라의 전기및 전자공업에 있어서 기술개발의 유형을 분석하였다.
먼저 본 연구는 기술혁신과 기술도입의 일반적인 의미와 연구상황을 고찰하고 우리나라의 전기및 전자공업의 현황을 분석하였다. 다음에 독립변수인 자체개발비율과 기술사용료, 연구개발비, 마케팅 비용등의 6개의 종속변수와의 상관관계를 고찰하기 위하여 다음과 같은 6가지의 가설을 세우고 검증하였다.
1. 자체개발비율이 높을수록; (1) 단위당 로열티는 낮아지고, (2) 로열티의 매출액구성비율은 낮아질 것이다.
2. 자체개발비율이 높을수록; (1) 단위당 연구개발비는 높아지고 (2) 연구개발비의 매출액구성비율은 높아질 것이다.
3. 자체개발비율이 높을수록; (1) 단위당 마케팅비용은 높아지고 (2) 마케팅비용의 매출액구성비율은 높을 것이고, (3) 시장 점유율은 낮을 것이고, (4) 시장점유율의 신장율은 높을 것이다.
4. 자체개발비율이 높을수록; (1) 부품의 국산화비율은 높을 것이고, (2) 부품의 자체생산비율은 높을 것이다.
5. 자체개발비율이 높을수록; (1) 단위당 당기순이익은 높을 것이고, (2) 매출액이익율도 높을 것이며, (3) 매출액신장율도 높을 것이다.
6. 자체개발비율이 높을수록 국제경쟁력은 강할 것이다.
본 연구는 수집된 자료를 6가지의 가설에 따라 각 제품별, 전체제품별로 분석하였다. 그러나, 자료획득의 한계성으로 인하여 각 제품별 분석에서는 통계적 분석이 안되고 질적분석의 논리에 따라 검증되었고, 전체제품별 분석에서는 통계적 분석이 가능하였다. 두 분석방법을 통하여 기술사용료에 관한 가설만이 채택되었고 다른 가설은 자료부족으로 부분적으로 채택되거나 검증되었다. 따라서 개발도상국에서 기술혁신이 기술도입보다 유익하다고 말할 수는 없으나 기술도입이 기술혁신에 매우 중요하다는 것은 명백하다고 할 것이며, 본 연구에서의 변수 및 가설은 전기.전자공업뿐 아니라 다른 산업에도 확대하여 적용할 수 있을 것이다.
