The objective of this study lies in the design and manufacture of a specialized automatic brazing machine for the shift-link in a typewriter. The brazing process of a shift-link is a bottleneck in the whole procedure and thos an effective automatic method of brazing is necessary for the improvement of the present brazing system.
Some methods of brazing are proposed and discussed. Among them, a solenoid type inductor is chosen for the 2-station rotary brazing machine.
In the new machine, process for transferring and unloading of workpiece, flux feeding and filler wire feeding are automated together with synchronized operation of induction brazing.
The production rate for the automated brazing with a 400 KHZ, 10Kw induction heating equipment is found to be about 170 /hr. The manufactured automatic brazing machine works satisfactorily during performance.
수동식 타자기의 부품인 shift link와 shift link shaft의 유도 brazing과정은 생산속도가 다른 부품 생산공정에 비해 크게 느려 타자기의 대량생산에 지장을 주고 있다.
본 논문에서는 이 공정의 자동화를 위해 몇가지 형태의 자동유도 brazing기구를 제안하고 그 중 작업시간의 단축에 선정기준을 두어 solenold 형 inductor를 쓸 수 있는 자동기구 형태를 취하였다. 설계된 자동 유도 brazing기구는 shift link를 끼우는 작업 및 가공물을 기구위에 놓는 작업 외에는 전 brazing 작업과정을 자동화하였으며 400 KHz, 10 KW 유도 가열기를 사용할 때 시간당 약 170개를 brazing할 수 있는 것으로 나타났다.
제작하여 시동한 결과 몇가지 장치에 문제점이 노출되었다. 이에 대한 해결방안이 제시되었으며 계속적인 개선이 필요하다. 그리고 기구의 간단화를 위해 hoop형 inductor를 쓰는 것도 바람직한 것으로 결론지어졌다.
