This thesis developes a technique which can be applied to telephone cable layout in one exchange area to reduce the cable installing cost.
The problem studied is how to select minimum cost route and to determine the number of telephone lines which traverse the link in telephone cable network.
In this thesis, a model is proposed to minimize total telephone cable network cost under the assumption that each link cost is a concave function of the link size(the number of telephone lines of the link) and the demands of the telephone subscribers at each cabinet are deterministic.
This former assumption is based upon the fact that the transmission systems which can be installed on a link display economies of scale.
In solving procedure, solution techinique is heuristic in nature, as it is difficult to solve the problem by mathematical model because of the property of link size.
This heuristic approach is illustrated by an application to the telephone exchange which has been established already.
本 論文에서는 電話事業의 合理的인 方案으로써 電話事業에 있어서의 費用을 節減하기 위하여 電話局으로부터 케비네트까지의 케이블을 設置할 때 最適線路 및 回線數를 決定하고자 하였다.
이에 對한 解法으로서 線型整數計劃法의 非效率性을 勘案하여 Network에 依한 最少費用線路를 求하고자 하였으며, 이를 爲하여 回線數가 늘어날수록 單位回線에 對한 費用이 減少한다는 規模의 經濟性(Economy of scale) 理論에 依해 케이블 線路에서의 費用函數를 定義하였고, 定義된 費用函數로서 케이블 架設時의 最適線路와 回線數를 決定하는 Network 模型을 定立하였다.
끝으로, 電話局에서의 實際 資料를 適用시켜 봄으로써 지금까지 一定한 計劃없이 進行되었던 電話케이블 最適線路 決定에 對하여 費用을 節約할 수 있는 方法을 提示하고자 하였다.
