As the standard of living rises and the national income grows, the demand for the beef increases rapidly in Korea.
The Korean Cattle, which is a major source for the demand on the beef, has been bred for working force for cultivation during several centuries.
But after latter half of the 1960's, the importance of raising cattle for the production of beef has been recognized by the farmers. Nevertheless, the number of Korean cattle can not satisfy the demand for the beef, as yet.
Therefore the price of Korean cattle and beef has risen more rapidly than that of the other commodities.
In this thesis, the author develops a dynamic model of Korean Cattle system, which can be used for stepping stone for understanding the organizational structure and dynimic behavior of Korean Cattle system. This understanding is necessary to analyze the effect of livestock policy.
The fundimental concept of the dynamic model of Korean Cattle system comes from the dynamic phenomina of general commodity.
This is made up of two coupled negative feedback loop, each acting to adjust inventory to the desired level.
In this thesis, the dynamic model of Korean Cattle system is developed through Industrial Dynamics, which is a methodology of analyzing the organizational structure and the time varying behavior of large scale system.
국민소득의 증가와 생활수준의 향상으로 牛肉에 대한 수요는 매년 급격히 증가하는 추세에 있다. 우리나라의 경우 牛肉에 대한 수요는 대부분이 韓牛에 의해 공급되고 있으며 역사적으로 韓牛의 사육은 수세기에 걸쳐 役用 위주의 사육형태를 벗어나지 못해 왔다.
그러나 1960년대 후반에 이르러 肉用性을 위한 韓牛사육의 중요성이 사육농가들에 의해 인식되기 시작했으며 牛肉의 수요에 대처할 수 있을 정도의 사육규모에는 아직 이르지 못하고 있다. 그러므로 韓牛 및 牛肉의 가격은 다른 물가에 비해 급속히 증가하고 있으며 이에 따른 축산정책은 점점 더 중요한 문제로 부각되고 있다.
그러므로 본 논문에서는 韓牛씨스템내의 韓牛의 生産과 屠殺, 牛肉의 수요 및 공급, 그리고 韓牛 및 韓犢牛價格과 牛肉價格간의 유기적 관계를 규명하고 복합적으로 相互作用하는 변수들의 시간에 따른 변화상태를 分析함으로써 畜産政策의 수립에 기여할 수 있는 방법으로 韓牛씨스템의 動的모형을 開發하였다.
韓牛씨스템의 動的모형의 기본개념은 적정재고수준을 유지하기 위해 생산과 소비가 가격에 의해 영향을 받는 두개의 Negative Feedback Loop로 결합된 제품순환의 動的現狀으로 부터 비롯된다.
그리고 이러한 韓牛씨스템의 動的모형은 대규모 씨스템의 유기적 관계를 규명하고 복합적으로 상호작용하는 요인들의 동적특성(Dynamic characteristics)을 分析하기 위한 수단인 Industrial Dynamics에 의해 개발되었다.
