X-cut sample of $KH_2PO_4$ single crystal was used in the RC differential circuit as a relaxational capacitance element.
Output signals from the sample excited by square wave electric pulses of 50 nsec to 1 sec pulse widths are observed as a function temperature near the ferroelectric phase transition.
Observed signals are interpreted in terms of polarization fluctuations induced by proton motions as well as ionic motions and lead to the conclusion that KDP crystal displays the mixed type behaviour of order-disorder type and displacive-type due to a possible strong coupling between the proton collective tunneling motions and the K-$PO_4$ ionic lattice vibration along c-axis.
