In developying a new product or copying a precision-machine, one of the important problems with which designer have to confront is how to set tolerances of component parts of the product.
But in our country, the most of engineers are only considering the max.-min. tolerances for only mating elements.
Therefore in this paper, a case study taken from the production-process of the precise mechanical press as an illustration were tackled and tolerances of every component part of its major functional assemblies, that is, shaft-ram assembly, shaft-assembly and ram-assembly were theoretically analyzed.
As designers are well applying such investigation to another new developing products, it will give a basis for tolerancing components parts of products in order for it's better functioning.
새로운 제품을 개발하거나 정밀한 부품을 모방 제작함에 있어서 가장 심각하게 대두되는 문제중의 하나로서, 하나의 제품을 구성하고 있는 부품들의 공차를 가장 경제적이고 과학적인 방법으로 여하히 부여할 것인가 하는 것이다.
그런데 국내에서는, 대부분 직관에 의하여 단지 공차의 상?하한 값만을 고려하여 부여하고 있는 실정이다.
따라서 본 연구에서는 정밀 프레스 기계의 제작과정을 한 구체적인 예로서 취하고 이때에 수반되는 공차문제를 프레스기계의 중요 기능 부분인 샤프트-램연결부, 샤프트 조립부 및 램 조립부분으로 나누어 이들을 구성하고 있는 각 부품의 공차관계를 이론적으로 해석하였다. 이 이론을 타제품개발시에도 잘 연관시켜 보다 정밀한 기능을 위하여 공차문제 해결에 응용할 수 있는 기반을 마련하였다.
