Polymerization of α-pyrrolidone was carried out by using N-acetyl $\epsilon$-caprolactam, N-benzoyl $\epsilon$-caprolactam, N,N'-adipyl bis $\epsilon$-caprolactam as initiators and by using potassium pyrrolidonate as a catalyst at 45℃.
Initiation efficiencies of the three different initiators on the percent conversion and the degree of polymerization were investigated. Relative Viscosity of poly α-pyrrolidone as a function of time was measured and the polymerization mechanism was studied.
N-acetyl $\epsilon$-caprolactam, N-benzoyl $\epsilon$-caprolactam, N,N'-adipyl bis $\epsilon$-caprolactam 을 개시제로 사용하여 potassium pyrrolidonate 촉매 존재하에서 α-pyrrolidone 을45℃ 에서 중합하였다.
세가지 개시제들의 음이온 중합에 있어서 중합도나 중합수득율에 미치는 개시효과를 조사하였다. 중합반응 시간에 따른 상대점도의 변화를 측정하였고, 중합반응 기구에 대하여 연구하였다.
