An electrostatic mode-matching solution for circular transverse electromagnetic cells (CTEM cells) and coupled circular transverse electromagnetic cells (CCTEM cells) are obtained. Laplace’s equation for the elec-trostatic potential across the cross section of the CTEM cell and CCTEM cell is solved. The eigenfunction expansions and the superposition principle are used to represent the electrostatic potentials in the cylindrical coordinates. The Dirichlet and Neumann boundary conditions are utilized to form a set of simultaneous equations for modal coefficients. The sinusoidal orthogonality properties, as used in the mode-matching method, are employed to further simplify the simultaneous equations. Computations are performed to check the validity of mode-matching solution. Some representative potential and electric field characteristics are shown for various CTEM and CCTEM cells geometry parameters. The convergence rate of series solution is checked. Computations illustrate that the mode-matching solution is viable and efficient for the analysis of the CTEM and CCTEM cells.
모드정합법을 퉁해 CTEM 및 CCTEM cell의 TEM 파를 해석하였다. 라플라스 방정식을 풀어 CTEM 및 CCTEM cell 단면의 potential을 구하였고, 이를 위해 원통형 좌표계에서 고유함수 전개와 중첩의 원리를 이용하였다. 영역별로 정의 된 potentila 의 행렬방정식에서의 미지계수를 구하기 위해 Dirichlet 경계조건과 Neumann 경계조건이 사용되었으며, 삼각함수의 직교성을 이용하여 식을 간략하게 정리하였다. CTEM 및 CCTEM cell의 구조에 따라 potential, 전계, 필드의 균일성을 그림으로 나타내었다. 모드정합법으로 구한 해의 수렴특성을 확인하였고, computation을 이용한 결과는 모드정합법이 CTEM 및 CCTEM cell 해석에 효율적이고 빠르다는 것을 보여준다.
