This study improved bus scheduling model using smart card data. Traffic of Seoul keeps increasing and it has negative effect on air pollution and our health. Heavy traffic causes a lot of traffic congestion costs. Be-yond public transformation system’s quantitative growth, efficient operation system is necessary for qualita-tive growth of public transformation system. In other words, systematic planning is required to maximize the passenger satisfaction.
The allocation interval of Seoul’s bus system is designed based on empirical data from the past, which is incapable of immediate response to rapidly changing passenger demands. This research analyzes passengers’ behavior and suggests proposal for traffic network operation through ‘traffic card big data analysis’ which is used in over 90% of the passengers so as to be flexible in dealing with rapid change in demands.
본 연구는 교통카드 기반 버스 배차간격을 최적화 하고자 하였다. 서울의 교통량은 꾸준히 증가하고 있고 이는 대기환경과 인체에 부정적인 영향을 준다. 또한, 과도한 교통량은 교통혼잡 비용을 야기한다. 정책들이 대중교통 시스템의 양적인 성장에 집중된 결과 대중교통의 효율적인 운영이 원활하게 이루어지지 않는 실정이다. 따라서, 승객들의 만족도를 최대화하는 체계적인 설계가 필요한 실정이다.
서울시 내의 버스 배차 간격은 과거의 경험을 바탕으로 설정되고 운영되고 있다. 따라서 승객들의 수요 변화에 즉각적으로 반응하기에는 한계점이 있다. 현재 서울시 내의 교통카드 사용율은 거의 100%에 달하고 있다. 또한 승객의 승하차 지점까지 데이터 베이스에 저장되므로 다양한 분야에서 활용 가능하다. 따라서, 본 연구를 통해 교통카드 빅데이터 분석을 바탕으로 승객들의 이동 행태를 파악하여 버스 통행을 효율성을 높일 수 있는 방안을 제시하고자 한다.
