Blending is one of very important issues in Solid Model. A blend surface connects base surfaces with position and gradient continuity. Generation of natural blend surface is different from case to case in solid model. Therefore it is important to classify blend cases, develope natural and reasonable blend schemes and investigate its characteristics.
Proposed in this thesis are 1) a systematic classification of blending cases, 2) blending schemes of various cases, 3) its implementation, and 4) resulting performance measure of blending.
