A new method for the approximating the average run length (ARL) of cumulative sum control chart (CUSUM) is proposed in this paper. This method used the conditional expectation of excess over the boundaries. The values obtained by this method are compared to a standard numerical method and other approximation methods in the normal case.
From the result, we show that this method is better than other approximation methods in the normal case.
누적합 관리도에서 평균런 길이를 구하는 새로운 근사적 방법이 본 논문에서 제시되었다. 이 방법은 경계를 넘는데 대한 조건부 기대값을 이용했다. 정규분포하에서 이 방법으로 구한 값은 표준적인 수치해석적 방법에 의한 값을 기준으로 해서 다른 근사적 방법들과 비교된다.
결과를 보면, 정규분포하에서 제시된 방법에 의해 구한 값이 기존의 근사적 방법에 의한 값보다 참값에 더욱 가까움을 알 수 있다.
