Many musicians and students have difficulty playing with musical dynamics. The expression of musical dynamics is subjective and cannot be heard well by students themselves. For this problem, we present a method of teaching using musical dynamics with visualized amplitude changes, using computer-assisted music education. We tried to test the effectiveness of the interface and the educational role of this means of teaching using visualization. The purpose of our experiments was to study whether this interface was pertinent to educational effectiveness. The aim of the evaluations was to prove that this interface is effective and helpful for the teaching of musical dynamics. In these experiments, a song was played and compared using the images. The image of a teacher’s dynamics, which converted sound to visualization through this interface, was compared with students’ images. And, based on these images, we evaluated the technical and artistic aspects to objective and subjective outcomes. We also conducted a survey of students’ satisfaction by user-subjective experience in this interface. The results indicated that the interface helped students to play with better expression. The final results indicated that the new suggested method of education was better than using the traditional method of education. This shows that the role of visualization in computer-assisted music education for the creation of musical dynamics has a positive effect on music education.
많은 음악가와 학생들이 음악 셈여림을 지키며 연주하는 것에 어려움을 느낀다. 음악 셈여림의 표현은 주관적이면서 학생들 스스로 잘 들리지 않아 어려운 면이 존재한다. 이 문제에 대한 해결책으로, 컴퓨터를 이용한 음악 교육의 일환으로, 음악 셈여림의 진폭 변화를 시각적으로 표현한 교육의 방법을 제시하였다. 이 인터페이스의 교육의 효과를 실험하고 이것의 교육적 역할을 시각화하여 효과적으로 가르치는 수단을 검증하려고 하였다.
실험의 목적은 이 인터페이스가 효과적인 셈여림 교육에 대해 적합한 지를 연구하는 것이었다. 평가의 목적은 이 인터페이스가 음악 셈여림의 가르침에 효과적이고 음악교육에 도움이 될 것이라는 것을 증명하는 것이었다.
이 실험에서, 하나의 노래가 사용되었고 이미지를 사용하여 비교화를 하는 과정을 거쳤다. 이 인터페이스를 통해 교사의 셈여림 사운드가 이미지로 변환되었고 변환된 이미지는, 학생들의 셈여림이 변환된 이미지와 비교되도록 하는 방법으로 실험을 진행하였다. 그리고 이러한 이미지를 기반으로, 객관적, 주관적인 결과를 기술과 예술적인 측면을 통해서 평가 하였다. 또한 이 인터페이스에 대한 학생들의 주관적 설문 조사를 통한 학생들의 만족도도 실시하였다.
결과는 인터페이스가 학생들의 음악적으로 더 좋은 표현을 하도록 돕는 역할을 하는 것으로 나왔다. 최종 결과는 이 새로운 제안 방법이 교육의 전통적인 방법을 사용하는 것 보다 더 나은 것으로 가리켰다. 이것은 컴퓨터를 활용한 음악교육에서 시각화 방법이 셈여림 학습에 긍정적 인 효과가 있음을 보여준다.
