In recent years, prevalence of a variety of network devices such as Smart phone, Smart appliance, and various sensors are spreading. Accordingly interest and demand for home network more growing that configuration of Home network using these Home devices in our house. Automatically configuring a home network is important issue. Because family members that not familiar with the Information Technology (IT) device also easy to use home network environment. For Home network Auto-configuration problem, many studies have been progress in a variety research and standards. However, the conventional standard method has a fatal problem that each of the Home devices are installed middleware software and need to Home gateway must follow the standard configuration. In this thesis, we propose a new method for Auto-configuration of a Home network in Home cloud environment using Software Defined Network (SDN) to expand the SDN Home controller. The SDN Home controller has the following roles. Automatic recognition and registration of the Home devices and automatic management of Home devices by Home network access. Auto configured Home network by our proposed method can be confirmed connection status of Home devices through the web user interface. Through this study, we can configure the Home network automatically without middleware software and Home gateway, Home server which was required in the existing standard. Thus difficulty and complexity eliminating of family members about installation, management and maintenance of Home device, Home gateway and Home server, etc. Our proposed method has great value as an initial attempt that recognition and management of Home device in conjunction with SDN in Home cloud. We expected to be the foundation that the development and deployment of Home network based service.
최근 스마트 폰, 스마트 가전, 각종 센서 등 다양한 네트워크 디바이스들의 보급이 확산되고 있다. 그에 따라 우리 가정 내에서도 이러한 홈 디바이스들을 이용한 홈 네트워크에 대한 관심과 수요도 더욱 커지고 있다. IT기기에 익숙하지 않은 가족 구성원들도 편하게 홈네트워크를 사용하기 위해서는 무엇보다도 먼저 홈 디바이스들을 이용해 자동으로 홈 네트워크를 구성해 주는 것이 중요하다. 이러한 문제를 위해 기존 홈 네트워크 자동구성에 관한 많은 연구들이 진행되어 다양한 표준들이 만들어 졌다. 하지만 기존의 표준방법은 각각의 미들웨어 소프트웨어를 탑재한 홈 디바이스와 홈 게이트웨이가 있어야 홈 네트워크 자동구성이 지원되는 치명적인 문제점을 갖고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 홈 클라우드 환경에서 Software Defiend Network (SDN)을 확장한 SDN 홈 컨트롤러 기반의 홈 네트워크 자동구성을 방법을 제안한다. SDN 홈 컨트롤러는 홈 디바이스의 자동 인식 및 등록과정, 홈 디바이스의 네트워크 입/출입에 따른 홈 디바이스 자동관리 기법을 사용하여 표준 미들웨어 소프트웨어를 탑재한 홈 디바이스와 홈게이트웨이가 없어도 홈 네트워크 자동구성을 지원한다. 구성된 홈 네트워크는 가정 내 사용자에게 웹 유저 인터페이스를 통해 실시간으로 현재 홈 네트워크의 연결상태를 확인할 수 있게 한다. 본 연구결과를 통해 가족구성원들을 기존의 홈 네트워크 표준에서 요구됐던 미들웨어 소프트웨어, 홈 게이트웨이나 홈 서버의 설치 및 관리, 유지보수의 어려움과 번거로움으로부터 해방시킬 수 있다. 우리가 제안한 방법은 클라우드에서 SDN을 연계하여 네트워크 디바이스를 인식하고 관리하는 초기 시도로서의 가치가 있고 향후 홈 네트워크 기반의 서비스 개발 및 배포의 토대가 될 것으로 기대된다.
