In this paper, a new single-stage LLC resonant converter with relay for wide input
voltage is proposed. According input voltage, connection of proposed converter is changed
by relay. According to input voltage, turn ratio of proposed converter is changed. Lm of
proposed converter is designed higher than conventional converter. Proposed converter is
operated series connection at high input voltage. Proposed converter has lower peak of
magnetizing current and lower primary RMS current at high input voltage. So proposed
converter has low conduction loss and low switching loss at high input voltage. Proposed
converter is operated parallel connection at low input voltage. Proposed converter has lower
resistance of primary wire of transformer at low input voltage. So proposed converter has
low conduction loss at low input voltage. The feasibility of the proposed converter was
verified by experimental results with a prototype of 60W, 90Vac~264Vac input, and 16.5V-
3.65A output. The proposed converter shows high efficiency, low cost and similar size than
conventional converter.
본 논문에서는 넓은 입력전압 범위를 가지는 릴레이를 사용한 새로운 싱글 스테이지 LLC 공진 컨버터를 제안한다. 입력전압에 따라 릴레이를 통해 제안하는 컨버터의 연결 구조가 바뀌는 방식이다. 이로 인해 제안하는 컨버터는 입력전압에 따라 턴 비가 변경된다. 제안하는 컨버터는 기존 컨버터보다 큰 자화 인덕턴스 값으로 설계가 된다. 높은 입력전압 범위에서는 직렬 연결로 동작을 하고, 제안하는 컨버터는 낮은 자화 전류 피크 값과 작은 1차측 RMS 전류를 갖게 된다. 따라서 높은 입력전압 범위에서 적은 도통 손실과 적은 스위칭 손실을 갖게 된다. 낮은 입력전압 범위에서는 병렬 연결로 동작을 하고, 제안하는 컨버터는 작은 변압기의 일차 측 도선 저항을 갖게 된다. 이로 인해 낮은 입력전압 범위에서 작은 도통 손실을 갖게 된다. 제안하는 컨버터의 이점을 확인하기 위해 90Vac~264Vac 의 입력전압, 16.5V의 출력전압과 3.65A의 출력 전류를 갖는 60W 아답터를 시험 제작하여 실험하였다. 제안하는 컨버터는 기존 컨버터보다 높은 효율과 낮은 가격을 가지면서도 비슷한 사이즈를 갖는다.
