How to evaluate economic value of intangible intellectual property is one of the most important issues in knowledge-based economy. In particular, exclusivity is one of the important parameters in valuating a patented technology which is one of intellectual property. Exclusive usage of a technology can have a significant impact on the value of the technology. In this study, refer to Technology Valuation Practice Manual of the Ministry of Knowledge Economy and results of previous studies in technology valuation, four kinds of standard items of the right analysis, which can affect the value of technology, are proposed. In addition, the four standard items have been applied to forty actual reports of technology valuation, and correlation of the right analysis and technology value has been demonstrated. Through this study, it is proposed that a systematic analysis of intellectual property rights improve the reliability of technology valuation.
지식기반경제에서는 무형의 지식재산에 대한 경제적 가치를 어떻게 평가할 것인가가 가장 중요한 과제 중 하나일 것이다. 특히 지식재산의 하나인 특허기술을 평가하는데 있어서 중요한 변수 중 하나는 특허권이 가지는 독점배타성이고, 기술을 독점배타적으로 사용할 수 있는지 여부는 그 기술의 가치에 중요한 영향을 미칠 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 지식경제부의 기술가치평가 실무메뉴얼에서의 권리성 분석 항목과 기술가치평가 관련 선행연구의 결과를 종합하여, 기술가치 산정에 영향을 미칠 수 있는 4가지 권리성 분석 표준항목을 제시하였다. 또한, 40건의 기술가치평가보고서의 사례에 위 4가지 권리성 분석 항목을 적용하여 실제 기술가치평가에 있어서 권리성 분석이 어떻게 수행되고 있는지를 조사하고, 권리성 분석의 수행 정도에 따른 기술가치금액의 관계를 실증하였다. 본 연구를 통해, 체계적인 권리성 분석의 수행이 기술가치평가의 신뢰도를 높일 수 있음을 보여주고자 하였다.
