This thesis provides the analysis of Self-Iterating Soft Equalizer (SISE) for Multi-Input Multi-Output (MIMO) systems. Conventional equalizer has a large and complex equalizer. The concepts of SISE is dividing one large and complex equalizer Equalization into a few relatively small and weak constituent equalizers. This SISE works well as a stand-alone equalizer or as the equalizer component of a turbo equalization system. Constituent equalizers are allowed to exchange their soft information without interleavers, so significant correlations occur among their soft outputs. Thus, SISE must be designed to suppress their correlations. In the MIMO systems, equalizer needs to combat both intersymbol interference (ISI) due to frequency-selective fading and multiplexing interference (MI) among data streams transmitted by different antennas. The result of SISE analysis in the MIMO shows better performance than any other known schemes e.g. LE or DFE.
데이터 용량이 많아지고 더욱 빠른 데이터 교환을 필요로 함에 따라 Multi-input Multi-output (MIMO)가 요구되는 일이 많아지고 있다. 이 논문은 마이모 환경에서 SISE의 분석을 제공한다. 전통적인 등화기는 크고 복잡도가 높은 하나의 등화기로 이루어져있다. SISE의 컨셉은 하나의 크고 복잡한 등화기를 상대적으로 약하고 작은 등화기들로 나누는 것이다. 이 SISE는 하나의 등화기로도 동작할 수 있고, 터보 등화를 응용해 줄 수도 있다. 구성하고있는 등화기들은 서로 soft한 정보를 인터리버 없이 교환 하기 때문에 입/출력 사이에 상관관계가 생긴다. 따라서, 이 상관관계 효과를 없애줄 수 있도록 디자인 되어야한다. 마이모에서는 등화기가 심벌간 간섭 뿐만 아니라 서로 다른 안테나들 끼리의 간섭또한 제거해 줄 수 있도록 설계된다. 마이모에서 SISE분석 결과는 다른 알려진 방식들보다 더 좋은 결과를 나타낸다.
