Development and dissemination of Information Communication Technology enhanced diversity and accessibility in human life. In education field, e-learning has increasingly been generalized, enabling learners of diverse domains to experience educational contents beyond the limitations of time and space. Especially, as for the intangible cultural heritage, there is the high necessity for e-learning to be effectively applied and employed due to the aging of the small number of masters and shortage of learners who wish to be their successors.
The aim of this paper is to propose e-learning platforms such as videoconferencing and stereoscopic videoconferencing for the transmission and distribution of intangible cultural heritage, focused on the dance field. For the HCI (Human-Computer Interaction) usability testing, satisfaction and interaction are evaluated in terms of 3P (Cognitive Presence, Social Presence and Teaching Presence).
As for the background research, domestic and international concepts and state of intangible cultural heritage including those in dance field are explored. In addition, domestic state of preservation, management and utilization of the intangible cultural heritage are studied. Specifically, cases including e-learning of mod-ern dance, network performance and stereoscopic education are introduced in the study.
For the evaluation, satisfaction degree based on the aforementioned 3P is measured while the subjects receive basic movement instructions via videoconferencing platform and stereoscopic videoconferencing platform. Subsequently, it is compared to that measured in a traditional face-to-face educational setting. The behaviors are videotaped, followed by a quantitative observation.
The results indicate that face-to-face and videoconferencing do not have significant differences in most of the aspects except for the participatory social presence item. Also, the videoconferencing platform and the stereoscopic videoconferencing platform have significant differences in the four items of all three presences of cognitive, social and teaching.
In the study, e-learning platforms of videoconferencing and stereoscopic, which overcome time and spatial constraints, are evaluated effective and feasible for the current and future intangible cultural heritage education. It will be employed as reference data for the future establishment of the educational framework necessary for the planning and development of the intangible cultural heritage e-learning contents.
정보통신기술의 발달과 보급은 인간 삶에 있어서 다양성과 접근성을 가져왔다. 교육에서는 이러닝은 일반화되었고 다양한 분야의 사람들이 시간과 공간의 한계를 넘어선 교육컨텐츠들을 경험할 수 있게 되었다. 특히 전승자의 부족과 보유자의 고령화의 문제를 겪고 있는 무형문화재분야의 전승과 보급을 위하여 이러닝을 활용할 수 있게 되었다.
본 논문의 목적은 무형문화재 무용분야 전승과 보급을 위한 이러닝 플랫폼들을 제안하는 것이다. 시간과 공간을 초월한 이러닝인 비디오컨퍼런싱 플랫폼과 전통적인 면대면 교육간의 교육효과를 비교하고자 하였다. 무형문화재 무용분야 이러닝 환경에서의 스테레오스코픽의 교육효과를 확인하기 위하여 스테레오스코픽을 활용한 비디오컨퍼런싱 플랫폼과 일반적인 비디오컨퍼런싱 플랫폼을 비교하고자 하였다.
연구의 활용대상을 탐구하기 위해 무형문화재의 국내외 개념과 현황, 국내 무형문화재 보존관리, 활용현황을 조사하였다. 무형문화재 무용분야의 특징과 현황에 대하여 조사하였다. 관련연구로서 무용 이러닝, 네트워크 퍼포먼스, 스테레오스코픽 교육사례를 조사하였다.
평가를 위해서 비디오컨퍼런싱 플랫폼과 스테레오스코픽 비디오컨퍼런싱 플랫폼을 3P(Cognitive Presence, Social Presence, Teaching Presence) 평가도구를 가지고 만족도를 조사하였다. 그리고 이것들과 전통적인 면대면 교육을 비교하였다. 인터랙션의 비교를 위해서 교육장면을 비디오로 녹화하고 이를 정량화하였다.
면대면 교육과 비디오컨퍼런싱 플랫폼은 13가지 항목 중 한가지를 제외하고는 교육효과에 있어서 유의미한 차이가 없었다는 결과를 얻을 수 있었다. 비디오컨퍼런싱 플랫폼과 스테레오스코픽 비디오컨퍼런싱 플랫폼을 비교하였을 때 스테레오스코픽이 학습동기를 유발한다는 결과를 얻을 수 있었다.
연구결과 시간과 공간을 극복할 수 있는 비디오컨퍼런싱과 같은 실시간 이러닝이 전통적인 교육을 대체할만큼 효과적이라는 결론을 얻을 수 있었다. 또한 스테레오스코픽과 같은 미디어가 무형문화재에 관심이 없는 일반인들에게 무형문화재를 보급하는데 효과적으로 활용될 수 있다는 결론을 얻을 수 있었다. 이 연구는 무형문화재 이러닝 콘텐츠를 기획하는 프레임 워크로 활용될 수 있다.
