Moduli stabilization is one of the key steps to understand low energy
phenomenology of string theory.
In this thesis, we study the phenomenological and cosmological implication
of the moduli stabilization, especially the KKLT and Large Volume Scenario (LVS)
which are explicitly realized in string theory. In each scenario,
the structure of low energy soft terms are examed. Based on analysis of
sparticle spectrum, we discuss the cosmological implication of the KKLT and LVS
models. Both scenarios have serious cosmological moduli problem.
In the KKLT models, it is well known that in spite of the fact that
moduli are heavy enough as to decay before the BBN, their decay products
can lead to overproduction of neutralino dark matter.
In the LVS models, there eixsts a very light modulus, and its abundance is highly
constrained by X($\gamma$)-ray observation.
Thermal inflation is the prime candidate to solve the moduli problem.
We present a phenomenologically viable model for each moduli stabilization scenario,
in which the dangerous moduli are sufficiently diluted by (multi-step) late thermal
inflation while implementing the Affleck-Dine leptogenesis. Even though
detailed property of the models is different for each stabilzation scenario, they
have the following things in common.
The model involves two singlet superfields whose scalar componenets (flatons) are
responsible for correct mass scale of the QCD axion solving the strong CP problem,
the weak-scale
valued Higgs $\mu$ and $B_\mu$ parameters, the scale of spontaneous lepton
number violation. The dark matter is provided by the fermion component of
the single superfield (lightest flatino).
